Summer Reunion Report 2026

The annual summer reunion for retired community nurses was held at Whitminster Village Hall on September 7th 2026. 

Since the last reunion Neil Hampson has been appointed as Chair of GCNF, while Jackie Smith remains a Trustee and the grants administrator. On behalf of the Trustees, Neil welcomed guests and gave a brief update of the charity’s recent activities. As well as awarding individual grants in cases of need, donations have been made to community hubs and clubs, including Stroud Trinity Rooms, Dursley Community Hub and Stonehouse Club for the Visually Impaired. We have given a further grant to Hope for Tomorrow, which provides mobile chemotherapy at several locations across the county, to fund a lease car for one year.

28 guests came from across the county and all enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with friends and former colleagues. Warm thanks go to the ladies of Frampton WI who provided another splendid afternoon tea.
