On 19th August 2024, GCNF hosted the annual tea party at Whitminster Village Hall for retired community nurses who have worked in Gloucestershire.

It was a very special occasion marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the charity in 1974. The party was attended by 34 guests and six Trustees, who enjoyed a splendid tea provided by Frampton Womens Institute, and a celebration cake generously donated by the family of the late Mary Wood, who herself worked as a district nurse in Stroud for several years.

Our guests came from across the county and all enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with old friends and former colleagues.

If you would like to know more about the annual tea party, please get in touch. (details of how to contact GCNF are found in the Contacts section of this website).
